Mr. Bunion: Life is not as bad as we imagine it to be. A great amount of pleasure may be extracted from some of our worst miseries if we but reason with ourselves, force our selves to think that pain is not present, that we don't suffer. Exert a will power sufficient to make despair appear like contentment -- [How To Live Happy]

Mr. Bunion: I shall try that scheme, now. There's that valise. It is not a burden, no! It is not a curse!! --
/
Mr. Bunion: It is a joy, ah, it is more than that. I will it to be a joy forever, so shall it be. [JOY]

Mr. Bunion: There is a deal of comfort after all if we just think a little. We are prejudiced against the ills of -- [DELIGHT]

[COMFORT] Mr. Bunion: I do feel more at ease since I've tried living different. I really do, yes.

Mr. Bunion: Of course at times when I am some what exhausted I think of the duty I owe myself then I -- [DUTY]

[MONOTONY] Mr. Bunion: Yet, if we turn despair into Joy and have nothing but Joy continually, it would get monotonous and despair must follow after all.

Mr. Bunion: If I could force myself to believe this rose smelled like limburger cheese I might live happy, but I can't.
